The City of Philadelphia's Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and the Philadelphia Cultural Fund have partnered to create COVID-19 Arts Aid PHL, a new emergency support fund focused on the arts and culture sector. COVID-19 Arts Aid PHL will support individual artists as well as small arts and culture organizations (annual budgets no greater than $250,000) and mid-sized organizations (annual budgets of $250,000 - $15M) whose operations, work and livelihood have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Relief for Individual Artists: These funds will assist independent artists--actors, musicians, visual artists, teaching artists and more. The relief fund will distribute unrestricted grants up to $500.
Relief for Small Arts and Culture Organizations: These funds will assist nonprofit and fiscally-sponsored organizations that have budgets at or below $250,000. This relief fund will distribute unrestricted grants of up to $1,000.
Relief for Mid-Sized Organizations: These funds will assist nonprofits that have budgets of $250,000 - $15M. This grant program is under development and more information will be announced soon.
