City of Philadelphia: Help Make Creative Philadelphia A Permanent Office Dear Arts Advocate, We need your voice at City Hall. Did you know that the City of Philadelphia still does not have a permanent Office dedicated to Arts & Culture? Establishing a permanent Office within the City’s government structure is critical to ensuring long-term stability and support for the creative sector across mayoral administrations. Councilmember Isaiah Thomas has sponsored a resolution to amend Philadelphia’s Home Rule Charter to establish Creative Philadelphia (formerly the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy) as a permanent Cabinet-level department. The resolution goes before the City Council Committee on Law and Government. Now, we need the arts and culture community to show up in support.
